<lj:music>Puffy AmiYumi (Puffy) - Invisible Tomorrow</lj:music>

Life is funny sometimes, and only sometimes, I might add. These last few weeks have been odd for me to be honest and filled with confusion. I have been in a strange mood for the last two weeks give or take and I am unsure why I am. Before I go into details about that I want to talk about something exciting that happened. About a week ago, I went to a concert with a few of my friends (luckily I ended up not being a third wheel this time) and I watched the Plano Sympathy Orchestra play. I was impressed by the conductor and also the players as well and seeing that the players in the 4th and 5th chair seats were about as good as I am I have decided that I want to try and join the Orchestra (Assuming I stay around Plano.)

I have reached a crossroad in my life (or at least I will reach one very soon) that I am not sure if I am ready for. I have been musing for most of this semester about leavening my house and in the end Plano to go to a real college somewhere. I have decided I really do want to teach at this point and along with that I want to write things for pencil and paper RPG’s (in some form or fashion) but at the moment I have yet to do anything to reach this goal.

Well it seems I wasted my time setting up Forgotten Realms game as because of events in the real world it has ended prematurely so I don’t get to run my Shadowcasters or Shadow Dragon <pout> and along with that one of my players that was in both my Forgotten Realms game and my Eberron game has left forever. So, I am now left with a small group of players and a dead game. So because of that I have taken the suggestions of two of my players and set about to create a Pirate game for them, which has led me to future, develop the Ptolus setting.

I may or may not post details for the new Pirate game but currently I have been working on a one shot Halloween game that one of my players made me decide to run. It will be set in Ravenloft and anyone that knows anything about that setting should know that One Shot + Ravenloft = Fun for the DM. I told the players to create Greyhawk characters and the current party structure is as follows; Half-Orc Paladin, Human Cleric of Heironeous, and a Gnome Sorcerer.

    <lj:music>DJ Lasgo - Something</lj:music>

I give greetings and welcome to my new story hour! May all the gods of good bless you and the gods of evil forget your name!

I have never posted a story hour on my Live Journal before however I doubt it make much of a difference in the long run other than more than likely only one or two people will be reading this Story Hour.

Introductions

While I gave names last time I did not give a full introduction for each of the Player Characters, I will do that now.

Amena/Amin el Rein: Born in the city of Calimport Amena was the daughter of a well to do family in the Emerald Ward where shops cater to the foreigners that are only briefly staying in the city. Her father went into debt thanks to the harsh taxes of the Syl-Pasha Ralan, and was forced to sell Amena into Silvermist Harem. Soon after that, she escaped and traveled north almost dieing before Sister Darshee of the Sun Soul Monastery of Calim saved her. Now she hides her identity using the male name Amin when in Calimport. (Neutral Good Calimshite Human Cleric of Sune 2)

Khemed el Mil'amah: Born north of Calimport in the city of Kaltar he was raised on a farm just outside of that city and led a simple life in till he traveled north to the Sun Soul Monastery of Calim to take on the life of a Monk, he has now completed his training and on the behest of Sister Darshee he traveled to Calimport with Amena to deliver a letter to Moldari, the current leader of that city. (Lawful Good Calimshite Human Monk 2)

Nigrego el Zoroaster: A mage without a past, Nigrego was delivered to the Sun Soul Monastery of Calim within explanation or reason when he was just a child. With a musty tome of unknown origin the only trace to his past with the words "Chard-Ha" on the cover Nigrego learned the way of a Wizard alone, a great feat for one so young. Free from the constraints of The Order, the most powerful Wizard guild in Calimshan he stayed in the Monastery in till that faithful day Sister Darshee told Amena, and Khemed to take a letter to Calimport, given the chance to find more about his past and also magical lore he chose to travel with them. (Neutral Good Calimshite Human Wizard 2)

Razar: Little is known about this strange thief found in the abandoned temple of Ibrandul (see below) other than Nigrego for whatever reason doesn’t trust him, however as of yet he hasn’t done anything to betray the trust of the party. He has told him he worshiped both Sune and Selune, which is odd to say the least but other than his quirks that seem to revolve around religion, he has proved to be a helpful ally to the party so far.
(Chaotic Neutral Calimshite Human Rogue 2)

The Lament of the Dwarves
(Session 1)

Dust and Shadows. It seemed that Calimshan only had those two things left as three young Calimshites made their way south of Kaltar, they still clutched tightly to the letter given to them from Sister Darshee along with the seal that would allow them to pass by the El Sadimmin (The Army) of Calimport, at least what was left of it. The hot sun was made worse by the constant winds from the Calim Desert, it was said that two genie lords still fight in spirit in the wasteland beyond Calimport and those that have seen the Calim Desert would think that as well. After about a week or so of travel along the Easterling Road the City of Glory could be seen.

Once the shining capital of the Empire of Calimshan, Calimport is a shadow of its former self, the majority of the city is still smoldering ruins from the war that took place just months ago. Amena (in disguise as a male carrying her Jambiya, the dagger only the males of Calimshan can wear) approached a commoner in the city to ask him where Moldari was within the city to which he responded “The Temple of the Moon” the local temple to Selune, it had been years since Amena had last been in Calimport so she asked a Askar (Private) where the Faith Ward was and after a little confusion he told them.

After a fairly short walk through the City of Slaves (The other Moniker of Calimport) reviled that it had received more death and destruction than any other place in Calimshan, in some places bodies of Drow could still been seen their bodies striped of valuables but on the Street of a Million Gods they found destruction unlike that they have ever seen before.

Only 12 or 13 fanes still stood within an street that was rumored to hold a shrine to every god known (and even those not known), the Spider-Kissers (the nickname given to the Drow in the south) in their hate of anything but Lolth had tried to destroy every temple in Calimport. The Temple of the Moon was one of the few that survived destruction, its beautiful dome covered in silver holding a motif of the night sky on it, traveling inside the dome seemed to price the day lit sky showing the moon bright as ever and the stars above, a illusion of some sort.

They were soon taken to a private room to speak with Moldari, who is said to be currently one of the most beautiful women within Calimport he light skin seems almost a pale blue and her eyes shining softly even in the day the only darkness to her is her raven black hair that cascades down her back. After a brief conversation with Moldari the party discovered what the letter contained, Sister Darshee was concerned with the safety and well being of not only her but the city of Calimport she presented the three youths to Moldari to help deal with the many problems in Calimport.

Moldari presented the young group a three different jobs that they could undertake to help the city, the first had to deal with the War of Gloom and Gold, a four year old war taking place beneath the Lands of Intrigue (the nations of Calimshan, Tethyr, and Amn). The Gold Dwarves of the Great Rift and the Gray Dwarves of the north came into conflict in an ancient kingdom known as Shanatar once ruled by the mighty kings of the Shield Dwarves, within the last few days the daughter of the Thane leading the southern armies of the Gold Dwarves was kidnapped by the Gray Dwarves. Moldari wishes to strengthen the ties between Calimshan and the Gold Dwarves since the nation is very weak and has no true allies (and is in fact at war with Lantan thanks to the murders of the gnomish population at the hands of the Sect when they ruled Calimshan), another mission involved a new drug cartel that seems to have made its way into Calimport in all the chaos. It is well known that the Rundeen control trade in most of the south and along with that the drug trade in Calimport however this new group seems to not be affiliated with the Rundeen, Moldari wishes that the drug trade would leave Calimport but she knows that is a fools dream, so she hopes to control it by just having the Rundeen use the drug trade since a drug war would devastate the landscape of Calimport even more, and last Moldari wants somebody to explore a crypt built under one of the now defunct manor of House Valdari (once a noble family in Calimport, they were all killed during the Second Night War) which is in itself unusual and illegal, more over people have been disappearing as well.

The three decided after a brief conversation to try and save the daughter of the dwarven general, Moldari directed them to the Shrine of the Moradinsamman (the Dwarven Pantheon) where they found Thane Melvar Simmerforge and his aid Balvin Helmhammer praying to Dumathoin the patron of the Gold Dwarves. After a brief conversation with the mourning and somber Gold Dwarf he tells them that on the pillow of Moira he found a letter that said this “Give up your fruitless war in the north, know that Shanatar is ours Melvar.” Along with that, Balvin gave to them a riddle that a cleric of Dumathoin gained with a communion with his deity “The Dark Moon’s victim hold the path to toil, where goblins weep and Duergar play.”

Upon leaving the Shrine of the Moradinsamman the party decided to travel to the temple of Azuth, the god of knowledge hoping to figure out the truth behind the riddle. The party decided that the Dark Moon meant Shar, and that victim was more than likely one of the deities killed by Shar during the Time of Troubles now they just had to figure out which one. After being tricked by Amena into reviling his opinion on the riddle for free (when it would normally have cost money) which was that the victim of Shar was more than likely Ibrandul the god of dungeons, dark places, and Skulks which had been abandoned when the priests of Ibrandul fled after they discovered that their god was dead, killed by the hands of Shar.

After getting a few pints of oil for a lamp (which they made Nigrego carry much to his alarm) they found the Abandoned Temple of Ibrandul, which seemed to have been left undisturbed since the clerics of the dead god left months before, slowly they plunged into the unknown temple.

The Abandoned Temple of Ibrandul
(Session 2)

As they entered into the old temple, the first thing the noticed is that the fane is abysmally cold which is very odd, the only thing that could create such an effect was magic. Soon after that upon entering into a room that seemed to have not been used in months, they discovered that whoever was in the temple was trying to hide the fact that this room is used often. Ancient statues of a man wearing Calimshite clothing bore strange runes upon where a face would be they wound find out later from a prisoner that those symbols are a abstract representation of those Shar has killed. They traveled to the north opening one of the side doors, which lead to the first real combat these young Calimshites have experienced.

Two men one obviously commanding the other quickly attacked the party but thanks to Amena’s morningstar and Nigrego’s Wand of Magic Missile, they were able to make quick work of the two. After discovering symbols of Shar they interrogated one of the would be guards, he introduced himself as Gias. He told the party that he was a part of a cell of Shar that was also a band of thieves along with this he told them that the temple was being cooled by a magical effect left over by the clerics of Ibrandul, it was something they used to train their clerics for the Underdark. Two people were in the prison the Sharite cultists had set up a man who would join them named Razar and a Gold elf scholar named Velinyon Monceant a student of history. After a quick discussion among the party they let the elf out first but they were left with a problem, Nigrego didn’t trust the young thief and the cultist of Shar was also saying that he wasn’t to be trusted (but then again he would say anything to try to spread decent) but Khemed trusted the young thief and let him out of his cell.

He noted that his equipment was that thief and Khemed offered a split of the money that they were being paid to have him help the group explore the temple. He agreed while Nigrego grew worried since he had been hoping to rid them of a man he thought to be untrustworthy. Soon after this, they explored another room this time to the south where they found an offering altar to Ibrandul along with a large statue (most likely of Ibrandul) that’s head had been chopped off. After doing something most thieves would scoff at (placing not one but two gold down small hole on the altar that lead into the darkness below) around the small hole read the following “Know that Ibrandul watches over those that give a sacrifice to the depths below, may his embrace protect you from all things that wish you harm” in Alzhedo the native language of Calimshan.

Left with one door they traveled into the coldest room they have ever been into which had four statues built as pillars at each corner of a massive shaft leading down into the darkness below, they soon fought a strange creature one made of ice shaped like a rat that released a breath of cold air to damage the thief and Amena before her morningstar destroyed the creature in one strike. Nigrego noticed that the four pillars were in fact statues of the four servants to the elemental air goddess, Akadi. These pillars were the source of freezing temperature found in the temple as air cold air rushes out of the mouths of each statue.

After exploring more of the temple that battled a cleric of Shar who reviled to them the names of the two leaders of the this cell, Melwan a dark and brooding man and his lover Runa a tefling (a human who has fiendish blood in them) who had trained to be a monk of the Dark Moon but failed to do so. Along with this, they discovered a third member of the cult that being a Skulk. Before the spell that was cast on him to bring him into the world of the living, he spoke a cryptic phrase about something called “The Temple of Old Night” before he feel back into the stupor incused by the beating he received from Amena and Razar. Soon after than they fought the strange creature that Razar knew to be Skulk they found the main chamber of the temple where after a long and drawn out battle they defeated Melwan and Runa along with two cultists as well, with both Amena and Nigrego on the ground they looked at the stairwells leading down into the depths below unsure if they lead to the dwarf princess or death.

    <lj:music>Bach - Violin Concerto 2 in E</lj:music>

Well I think I am going to wait to post the first true Story Hour after this Friday to allow them to get some dungeon crawling done (I sense that they wont make it to the real part of the adventure but we will see I have been surprised before if rarely) however I thought I would post about a new class that me and Ayzerath’s Girl Friend talked about last night. We have been Role-playing for a long while now doing solo games and the like and we started to work on creating a world a while back but it was put on the backburner then she got to busy to even really talk to me much less Role-play when school started.

However last night we started work on another region in our world, which is yet unnamed, along with that a new class for the region. While there have been quite a few Shamans in the past (The two core ones, the Shaman in the “Oriental Adventures” book along with the Spirit Shaman in the “Complete Divine” come to mind) however the Shaman we came up with is a tad bit different than those. Our Shaman is a non-spellcaster with abilities that make it similar to the Paladin, Druid, and Bard without (hopefully) stepping all over the toes of those classes.

The Shaman Abilities:
Here are some of the abilities that you gain through the Shaman class, level and the like have not been made yet but this will give you some idea behind it.

Lay on Hands: Like the Paladin, the Shaman has a Lay on Hands ability (more than likely we will rename this) that heals you using spirits to do so. It takes longer than the Paladin version but will be more efficient. As the Shaman grows in power, it gains the ability to remove poisons, diseases, ability damage, and near the end the power to regenerate.

Spirit Guide: The Shaman gains Spirit guides that he can call upon, these are spirits made manifest in the sand from the desert so they aren’t real animals, just spirits animating sand to look like animals. There would be a main one which represents the guide the shaman got when he became one (like a hyena or lion), a messenger guide (a bird) which would be gained at later levels, and maybe a travel one (a horse or the like) as well I am not too sure on that.

Lore: The Shamans have a lore like ability similar to the Bards Bardic Knowledge however more than likely it will be more specific than the Bardic Knowledge is, dealing with the tribes the Shamans come from.

Spirit Vision: The Shaman are blinded with a powerful vision at mid levels, this vision however lets their eyes see into the spirit world and our world at the same time. Giving them a Darkvision/Blindsense like sight out to maybe 60 feet (might increase to 120 at higher levels I am not sure yet) it would let them see invisible creatures and spirits as well. It would also give them a bonus to heal checks (since they can focus and see inside the body of the sick) and also to sense motive (since spirits of different sorts follow emotions around which allows a Shaman to read people better.)

They would have something like 4+Int for skills so they aren’t as good as the bards are but better than Paladins and Druids (I think I am not looking at a PHB however) They would be the diplomat, guide, artist, and many other things within their tribe but they aren’t like the cosmopolitan Bard, or the powerful Druid, or the noble Paladin they are different enough to be distinct. I am going to talk to my friend to see if we might end up just replacing the Druid with this class in our world, since only a specific subrace can become Druids in our world anyways. If you have any comments or idea’s feel free to post any that you might have, tips and idea’s are loved.

Welcome to the first attempt at a Story Hour for my Forgotten Realms game this update will just be background information from the Sun Elf scholar Velinyon Monceant. Below is the current cast of characters:

Amena/Amin el Rein (Lump of Clay): NG Cleric 1 of Sune
Khemed el Mil'amah (LoC's BF): LG Monk 1
Nigrego el Zoroaster: NG Wizard 1

Click below to see a map of Calimshan:

Background:

Excerpt from “A History of Modern Calimshan” By Velinyon Monceant
Calimshan. The Empire of Glory has existed since start of the Imaskari Empire when the first Mulan slaves were brought through the portals created with powerful magic. Throughout its history tyrants and evil creatures such as Genies, Beholders and Dragons have ruled over the lands of Calimshan. It has waxed and waned as the most powerful nation in the south to a pale shadow of its former glory. With the Year of Wild Magic came many changes to the Empire of Calimshan, which all started with a young servant girl.
Jila, a slave of the Syl-Pasha (King) of Calimshan, Ralan el Pesarkhal floated above the table during a banquet in the Bakkal Palace, announced to the nobles in the palace and to the world through the voice of Selune spoke these simple words in the common tongue

“If the Syl-Pasha rules over Calimshan then the empire will fall”

Jila fell to the ground and forgot everything about the event and was later killed by the agents of the Syl-Pasha as a false prophet. However, these words bred contempt in the nobles who in their want to rule over Calimport plotted behind closed doors. About this time came Moldari Elervarthe, a Shade in the service of the High Prince of Shadovar, traveled to Calimport as a dignitary of her leader. Around this time the Sect was born, mostly made up of the mercenaries and slaves of House Vethuil and Lussan they slowly started to gather arms to fight against the El Sadimmin (The Royal Army) who patrolled the streets of Calimport.

Along with this, they freed gnome slaves who were being used by the Syl-Pasha and his government to construct guns and explosives (however the refused to help so many were killed by the Syl-Pasha) however as a reward to the Sect they taught some of the members the secrets behind Smokepowder.

While I don’t believe in the idea that “Love Conquers all” however it is well known that Moldari, the current ruler of Calimshan fell in love with Ralan almost the moment her dark eyes fell upon him and because of this she gave up her allegiance to the High Price of Shadovar in secret as the forces of the Sect readied their guns and explosives to try and take the El Sadimmin by surprise.

The Night of Ches 4 is not a night I would like to remember, however it will be forever know as the Night of the Fire, because the forces of the Sect set fire to the majority of the buildings in Calimport thanks to the bombs made by the gnomes (who I might point out were not freed and in fact enslaved then killed) over 90% of the El Sadimmin and over 5,000 people were killed on that night alone. I would have been killed as well if I had not been lucky hiding in the temple of Selune (while I don’t pray to the gods of man I knew that the shrine to the Seldarine would be destroyed and I was right) I managed to escape thanks to the helpful priests of Selune and after that I traveled to Kaltar to the north.

I couldn’t have picked a better time to escape, Calimshan is renamed Kureksham and exists for less than 30 days thanks to another group that wished to see the Syl-Pasha die. The Drow of Guallidurth, the Spider-Kissers came from the depths of their city to take over Calimshan once and for all. Within the next month the Drow came from the Night Below and destroyed what was left of the Sect and thanks to the magic of Mueldriia, the Matron of House Brinzeena, she sits upon the Bakkal Throne by Mirtul 11. The government, the true government of Calimshan traveled to Kaltar as well and after months of travel made it to the city of Memnon escaping as the city of Kaltar was taken over by House Brinzeena forcing me to travel further north.

Over the next few months, the Syl-Pasha with his new lover gathered up the El Sadimmin of Memnon and traveled south to destroy the Spider-Kissers forever. However, during this battle the Syl-Pasha, Mueldriia killed Ralan during the final battle in the inner Sabban (Ward) near the Bakkal Palace. All seemed lost but for a moment the skies stopped raining fire down upon the beleaguered forces of the El Sadimmin, and in the confusion the Drow retreated, why they did I do not know but this ended the Second Night War (or Fifth Night War if you include the three the Dwarves of Shanatar fought) and currently Moldari rules from the ruined Bakkal Palace trying her best to rebuild the city. If she, a foreigner and one time agent of the Shadovar manages to hold on to power then for the first time in our history will Calimshan be ruled by one who is blessed by Selune, however it is doubtful this will happen.

While I was reading the "Lost Empires of Faerun" I thought of a fairly cool party for a Forgotten Realms game, at least I would really enjoy DMing it, the party would be made up of the following classes and races.

A Fighter (Or Paladin)/Divine Champion of Azuth or Mystra
Cloistered Cleric/Divine Disciple of Azuth
Rogue/Ranger/Shade Hunter (minus the silly only evil alignment)
Elven Wizard/Olin Gisir

So this party has a Fighter that fights for the God of Knowledge or Goddess Magic, a Cleric that prays to the God of Knowledge that is well versed in history thanks to being a Cloistered Cleric, a Rogue/Ranger that fights against the return of Netheril and also wishes to make sure that the magic of that empire never falls in the wrong hands, and the Olin Gisir who also knows about history and magic. This is a ideal party for a Netheril/Shade campaign which involves a lot of history and also the sealing of demons (or resealing) and the protecting of magical items from a Empire of Magic. This party would also do well in basically most other situations as well, they aren’t built for the sole purpose of going into the Underdark but few parties are anyways and they wouldn't be as good in a party based around hack and slash games (which I rarely DM anyways). While I rarely tell a group what classes to be I think that if the players would let me, I would love to DM for a group like this.

Beyond that tomorrow I will update you few people that read my Live Journal on the situation that is currently going on in my Forgotten Realms game, heck I might even set it up as a story hour and also a place to figure out what was the Cleric of Azuth that solved the riddles name for example. Anyways however I am very tired since two people kept me on the phone till very late (one person got off the phone, I took a bath then another person called after words) so I am almost dead. However I think I will set up a story hour, and now that I think about it I think that is why I started to post on here in the first place again...oh well my memory fails sometimes.

    <lj:music>Holborne - 3 Almaines</lj:music>

Wow I Have to say that this will be the quickest update I have ever done, not many things get a reaction out of me but watching this did:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_EKHK1C2IE

I was having a debate with a friend the other day over the issue of the "True Believer", I am not talking about Christianity or Islam or the plethora of other religions in the world, I mean those that believe they know the "Truth" and are presented with two logical options with the "nonbelievers" or those that are "corrupted" in their beliefs, try to convince them to change or kill/stop those that don't conform to what the "truth" is. Now that being said, Religion has been a very important factor in the world since the day we looked up and said "Who made this?" it has brought us together more than any other concept in human history, it has brought ethics and morals to the masses and created communities that contains millions of people, this in itself is not horrible and in fact is a beautiful ideal.

However, throughout human history one can find that almost every religion has killed in the sake of the "truth" what they know (believe) to be right. This sort of thought is something that has permeated in our very being and has made us Xenophobic to the others around us, the ideal world of community I mentioned is shattered by sects that fear and sometimes hate each other. This sort of thought is something I have observed in the racism of those around me, even in my very family, even in my own mind. I am not immune in anyway to this sort of thought and none of you are either I assure you. When we go on a airplane most of us can't help but wonder if the Arabic man that is sitting next to us is carrying a bomb or is planning a terrorist attack, I found myself thinking such things in till I realized not only the lunacy of such thoughts and also the dangers of these thoughts.

I find myself witness to the same people that lived thousands of years ago that fought and died for the sake of their "Truth" with only clothing and weapons being the difference and it truly scares me. There are people that would be willing to kill me because I don't ascribe to what they believe to be true or I represent what they believe to be corrupt and wrong with this world. I have even met some of these people, not in the real world but online in the innumerable web based forums that exist. I know that unless presented with proof of what is really the "Truth" that these thoughts will continue long after I am dead and forgotten, however in this snapshot of time I bare witness to a world that is so factionized that in our bid for power and riches we are willing to destroy ourselves, unlike previous era's we have the power to do just that, destroy all human life.

I really do not hope to accomplish anything by writing this these are just things that have come to my mind and I am curious if these are things that are on your mind as well. I do hope that you have least gained a understanding of why I felt I needed to post again after only 30 to 40 minutes in the world, and I leave you with this thought:

The Internet has become a community not unlike the religions of the ancient world, in the sense that it has brought us closer than ever before in a exchange of idea's that wasn't possible just 30 years ago. In ancient Rome, religion was the foundation of community like the Block party was for those living in the 50s. During the Roman Empire, this sense of community was lost thanks to the rise of the nobles who could live alone without outside aid. I ask you this, think to yourself the first and last name of the person living next to you, then if you are able to do that think what is the first name of the person two houses away from you (or apartment room if you are in one) then if you can think of that, think of the ethnicity of the person three houses or apartment rooms. If you can do what I just said then be proud of yourself you are in touch with your community and the world around you far more than the average person is 99% of the time. In the real world we have lost, that community we had only years ago but we have found it again in the Internet showing a new rise of information and cultural exchange. It makes me wonder if there is hope for this poor, factionized, and polarized little planet of ours.

I Have Returned! Or the Age of Chaos

<lj:music>DJ Doboy - The Vocal Edition volume 12</lj:music>

I highly doubt anyone will notice or care but I have returned to Live Journal after a long hiatus, mainly because my life became so chaotic and abysmal that well...I rather not depress my readers or seem to be a Emo because really I am not. Well events beyond my control have ended not only my Shackled City game (which I believe I did post about) but also my Ptolus game (which was during my Age of Chaos). I have noticed that major events in D&D settings like Dragonlance or Eberron have names such as the Age of Dreams or the Age of Demons, I got to thinking about that and well I would call this stage of life the Age of Chaos. My life is not horrible enough currently to be the Age of Doom and Despair but that is a possibility for the future (one I hope isn't the case), but it has its fair share of ups and downs such as being called a "Bad Son" by my grandmother.

I am back in college and to be honest I am not even sure where to begin to update my life and to be honest I am sure that really it would bore you anyways so I am not even going to try to do that. However, I will try to update what is currently going on I suppose and really, it is a very short list anyways. I currently am about to start a new D&D game, along with my other game (made up of most of the same people) that will run every other Friday (I.E one game for one Friday another game for the Friday after that) this is thanks mostly to one of my friends BF living far enough away he can only come down every other weekend which is fine to be honest, this gives me lots of time to develop ideas for the two games. One game is set in the Kingdom of Calimshan in Forgotten Realms the other one is in Eberron (I am not sure as of yet where I want to start this one), for those that know nothing of Forgotten Realms it is a nation not unlike Moorish Spain circa 711-1614 A.D. which for those that aren’t dorks like me, is the southern area of Spain that was controlled by the Muslim Caliphate (then later became a independent nation) so think of it as a mixture of Arab and European culture and that’s what you got in Calimshan.

Obviously since its D&D there are Flying Carpets, Genies, Pasha's (a Ottoman Turk title, its basically a noble), Harems (one of the characters was part of a Harem pre-game) along with a ancient (but fallen) Dwarven Empire, no THE Dwarven Empire. It was the most powerful and influential empire in the south, known as Shanatar. I wont bore you with any more details of that sort but I will move on to the Eberron game, which to be honest I can't say much about. The game currently has three confirmed players (Although I have been promised a fourth) one is a Artificer (basically a Mage/Blacksmith sort of person) from House Cannith (I might explain at some point but I don't feel like it now), A Warforged from the 12th Legion of Cyre, and that’s it however today (since its 3:00ish when I write this) we will get characters done...which I wonder if they have character sheets...hmm oh well if not we will still get stuff done.

Beyond that my mother is still sick and really has not changed, I am now single and lonely to boot. I will be moving out of my current home soon but I have yet to decide where I am going to move too. Basically, I have decided at this point I want to be a teacher, a History teacher hopefully along with writing things for D&D or at least Role-playing games in general. My goal would be to work at WoTC or maybe as a 3rd Party Company, we will see on that. If I feel up to it I might post some of my work on here if people are interested to see what sort of D&D stuff I have been working on for the last six or so years. Anyways that is all for now, and yes I didn't even mean to rejoin you people on Live Journal I just...well I was looking up stuff for my D&D game and I just felt I should post something.

    <lj:music>Mozart - Sonata in G, K.301</lj:music>

I have been once again told to update this journal by one of my friends seeing how my newest Dungeons and Dragons game did not happen today I thought I might as well (after repeated attempts to get me to write this of course). In the recent events that have been going on in my rather dull and uneventful life, I can only think of a few things that are worthy to be written (or in this case typed). These include my continued attempts (some more successful than others) to set to words a new D&D world, over the past 6 or so years that I have been both a Dungeon Master and a Player I haven’t ever successfully made a D&D world, I have attempted no less than 6 times (those not including half-assed attempts or just “cool” idea’s).

Upon thinking about this and trying to figure out why I have not been able to finish it brought into light another question that has been plaguing me. Am I a good Dungeon Master? Those that know me personally might say yes to this question but seeing how many have not had any other Dungeon Master but myself or if they had it was a experience with the RPGA which sometimes doesn’t count. The only reason I would ask myself this beyond a lack of self confidence (which in truth I do have) is because so many of my games fail, I don’t think I have ever had a game go beyond a few months that I have been Dungeon Mastering.

I have discovered that the reason I Haven’t been able to create a D&D world for my group or just in general is really just because I am fickle. One week I may want to write a adventure set in a Swashbuckling world like 7th Sea or in some respects Eberron, another week I may want to create a NPC in a Epic Fantasy world like Dragonlance. My D&D games have suffered because of this as well, because not all of the failures have been my player’s fault (saying that would be most arrogant) quite a few of the failures that have occurred in my game were because I was fickle and wanted to try something else which lead me to let games die.

Along with this I have noticed quite a few players seem to be bored or not having fun in my games which sends of a silent alarm in my head telling me that I must be doing something wrong, games getting canceled and things like make me feel that I must not be doing a very good job as a Dungeon Master, and within the last year I thought to myself that if the two current games I am telling fail because of me I might do a long to semi-permanent break from Dungeon Mastering. I hope it does not come to that but if in the end it does maybe it is for the best then.

Well I would like some feedback with anyone that wishes to give it to me, I have talked to others about this and I have not been able to get a good answer out of them as of this update. Beyond that point Lump of Clay is a cool person and I am happy she was able to visit me!

That is all for now, I may post again later if I have anything else to say on this or other subjects.

    <lj:music>Boa & Koda Kumi - The Meaning of Peace</lj:music>

Well yesterday was a strange day in the fact we all got together but we did not play D&D. The reason for this is two fold, the first is that Kutsurona was around a hour late, after that Ayzerath had asked for us to call him when Kutsurona was on the way, which we did so basically everything was done that was expected to happen. At that point we decided to start up another game since we last one I was (and still am) pretty sure would end in a TPK (Total Party Kill).

The current party for that game is described below:

Lecorth - Larinth D'Near Human Wizard level 1, member of the Wizard School of Exquisite Force.
Kutsurona - Human Urban Druid 1
Ayzerath - Human Rogue 1
Crystaltears (Ayzerath's Gf) - unknown, most likely Fighter or Paladin.
Shinny - Gnome Archivist 1, initiate of the Sacred Shroud organization

Those that are paying attention to my Live Journals may notice the fact that there is a new player here; Crystaltears (I'm not quite sure what I will call her beyond this update, maybe her characters name) is as I said above Ayzerath's girlfriend, who is also a friend of mine. I have not talked to her in a long time but hopefully this game will be fun for her. My only fear is that since she is as far as I can tell a much better storyteller (same job as a DM in D&D) than I am as a DM, she might get bored in the game, or get annoyed at the lack of Role-playing the above group does.

With that said these games most likely will be occurring every Tuesday around 5 PM my time (Central for the curious) till most likely 11-12. If Lecorth is unavailable I will be playing his character most likely, today I was supposed to help Shinny work on her character but I am doubtful of that but we will see.

Something else that happened today proved to be slightly annoying. I am getting ready to finish my driving school stuff and also get ready for college so I have been sorta stressed out (This last year being bad as it was hasn't helped matters). I called up the lady at the driving school I was at to ask for my username for my account on the driving school web page, well apparently since I lost the username she would have to delete it and I would have to re-register, which I suppose is fine but doesn’t make any sense. Further more she said I was "immature" for losing it, which does not make any sense to me. Maybe she was trying to say "irresponsible"? Well as it was I feel a little annoyed at her and the fact that she would have to delete it even though I know my password and just needed to know what my username was. Also I will have to wait till later tonight before she can do it too so there is another annoyance, but oh well I guess I just have been in a rotten mood today.

I have got most of my information for the next D&D game ready, I have printed out all the player handouts for the adventure, I also have handouts about the history of Greyhawk and also the city of Cauldron (the city where most of the adventure will take place in), each of which is slightly different depending on what each play rolled for their Knowledge (History) or (Geography) and Knowledge (Local: Cauldron) checks. I have rewritten part of the history of the world of Greyhawk (much to the hated of purists and those that like canon) and since I am in a writing mood, I think I will tell you the basics of history for what I have changed. Below is the history that I am going to give Lecorth, he basically got the roll for information most people would know, also included is a excerpt a teacher told him.

Iuz the Evil
To the north came a direct evil, known as Iuz, he is a Demigod of evil and depravity slowly the evil cambion (half-fiend) gained strength. He apparently vanished by 505 CY through unknown means, however by 570 CY he regained most of his lands and returned to power within the Flanaess.

The Greyhawk Wars
Slowly Iuz came to full power and open war seemed to soon be in the future, just before the war you know from the teachings of your master at the School of Exquisite Force that the Circle of Eight was destroyed by the avatar of Vecna, however Mordenkainen was able to revive them all but as a result the group was weak when the war opened in 582 CY.

The war was horrible to the point that battles were often not mentioned because of their brutality and slowly Iuz seemed to have the upper hand as many nations fell to his rule, at this point Iuz apparently stole a object of some power, known as the Crook of Rao, this powerful artifact had the ability to force back fiends to where they came from, which made up the bulk of his army. You know this because one of the members of the Circle of Eight stole it right before the war ended.

As the war grew worse, Iuz had agents within the various remaining kingdoms kill many of the various members of the Circle of Eight, with the help of the Traitor Rary he managed to kill all but Mordenkainen and Jallarzi Sallavarian, this time Mordenkainen wasn’t able to bring the members of the Circle of Eight because of the weapon used to kill them, the powerful Dagger of Vale while sealed their souls into the gem preventing Mordenkainen from being able to revive the Circle of Eight (Iuz most likely wouldn’t have created the Dagger if Vecna hadn’t tried to kill them a few years earlier). At this point Jallarzi Sallavarian traveled to the capital of the vile empire of Iuz.

Jallarzi was determined to steal the Dagger of Vale however she was not able to in the end, but while she was pushed back from her goal, she managed to steal the Crook of Rao. At that point she managed to take it outside into the vile streets of Dorakaa (the capital of the Empire of Iuz), and you remember what you master said vary vividly

"Her body was mangled and beaten, having endured what could only be called true Hell. In her bloody hand was the Crook of Rao, one of the most powerful artifacts found on Oerth.

Around her rose what seemed to be all the hosts of Hell. As she raised her hand to the sky words in a voice not her own came as a whisper as one of the vile creatures impaled her with a disgusting glaive. Her whisper was heard throughout Dorakaa.

"With this…you are unbound…"

With those words, a perfect light spread throughout Dorakaa and the entire Flanaess that un-summoned every fiend that could be found. When the light cleared the streets of Dorakaa were empty save for a broken stave and crumpled up robe where she once stood"

However, with her noble deed she managed to un-summon all the fiends in the army of Iuz and saved the Flanaess, at least for now. By the year 594 CY, (the current year) the armies of Iuz are rebuilding but are not on the move just yet and the rest of the world now waits for new hero’s to save it. The world vary truthfully might fall to the sway of evil if nothing is done about the Empire of Iuz.

Anyways That is all I am going to write for now, I will give more information on the Shackled City at a further date, I hope everyone has a better day than I have been having and I hope the rest of the week is good too!

Hello Everyone

Well as of the last update we weren’t able to play D&D, turns out that Lecorths GF Birthday was on that day, oh well I wish I had known that before hand. There have been plans to play tomorrow however I do not have any doubt that they will fall through as well so right at the moment I am thinking about what I am going to do tomorrow in light of that. Beyond that Happy (late) New Years everyone!

On New Years Eve I traveled over to Lecorths house for their New Years party, and beside watching a old Star Trek episode (Trouble with Tribbles, a Favorite with many fans) and playing a game of Nuclear War (which I will describe below) it was a rather boring evening, however no evening is complete without some drama at some point. Up to this point, I have not posted anything about the drama between Kutsurona and his Ex GF, and to be honest I am not going to, however there was tension in the air that night, seeing how his current Girl Friend said to not ever talk to his Ex-GF again and well needless to say he did.

Beyond that, he handled it poorly and it only lead to make his current GF (who is Shinny, although I am pretty sure I mentioned that before) more pissed off at him. Anyways that is all I am going to say on that subject.

For the curious, no I didn't start World War 3 the other night, the game Nuclear War is a fairly old card game where you try to be the last one standing, while Nuclear missiles and super viruses fly around you killing off your people. It is a fun game (I think we enjoyed it a bit too much which might worry some people). In the first game, Lecorth was killed off in the secret round (where you play secret cards and nothing else, its the first round of the game) where 25 million people vanished in a instant and his total population was only that, 25 million. Within the next few moments, Kutsurona was also killed as well from a Super Germ and a large chunk of his people moving to another country. What was amazing is that both of these people died in peacetime, I was the next to go because of a bad draw (I had nothing but missiles and bombers but no warheads sadly). The rest of the night was basically spending time with Shinny since Kutsurona had gone upstairs to play another game of Nuclear War, which was fine because I did not feel like playing another game anyways.

At this point you might question the title of this Journal Update, will that is good because up to this point nothing I have said has had to do with the title. A few days ago, I found a little treasure trove, and because of that this update gets that title. For the curious (and even for those that aren’t curious) Modrons are a D&D monster, however beyond that they are creatures from the Lawful plane of Mechanus. For those that are not aware the world of D&D (The Material Plane or the Prime Material depending on who you ask) is not the only thing out there. There are a number of planes of existence such as the perfectly lawful plane of Mechanus or the foul reaches of the Abyss (which contrary to popular belief has infinite layers rather that 666 of them).
This treasure trove I found was a number of old D&D box sets (that is boxes with small books and maps inside of them), which include the following:

Planescape Campaign Setting
Planes of Chaos
Planes of Law
One of the booklets from Planes of Conflict
The Great Modron March (an adventure)
Dead Gods (another adventure)
Doors to the Unknown (yet another adventure)

The Great Modron March is where these creatures race across the planes (the outer planes which include places like the Abyss and Hell and also Mechanus) in till they make it back to their home plane after traveling to all the planes of existence (including the really bad ones, which is where many of their numbers are lost.)

Below is a picture of the basic type of Modron

Beyond that type, (which is known as a Monodrone) there are quite a few others to be found as well all of them are perfectly logical and lawful to the point where they are almost like robots (and in many ways they are). However, they are very much alive and I just really like them for some reason.

Within D&D, Planescape has to be one of my favorite settings because of all that it has to offer. In what other setting can you expect to see a Deva (basically a type of angel) and a Yugoloth (Neutral Evil fiends, Demons are Chaotic Evil and Devils are Lawful Evil) talking to each other without killing each other? Where else can you explore a dungeon that in reality is the body of a dead god floating in the Astral plane (which is one of the Transitive planes, named such because they are used to travel to the other planes and teleport spells use the Astral plane to work). Where else can belief cause the entire area your on to break away and join another plane? I always have loved Planescape but I have hated what 3rd edition has done to the planes, however that is a rant for another day I suppose.

Beyond that I suppose I shall end today’s update because I can’t think of anything else to write (beyond the ramblings about Planescape and that everyone should play it)

Remember, don’t be a Berk (Planescape lingo for fool) and don’t pray to the Lady of Pain (for she will kill you with her metal blades for hair) and I hope everyone has a good day!

    <lj:music>Gershwin - Rhapsody in Blue</lj:music>

Hey there everyone!

I thought I give a small update for everyone, I hopefully will be playing a D&D game tomorrow assuming that Kutsurona is able to play, however I fear for their party. Since Kutsurona did not have any spells like Ghost Sounds, Invisibility, Silence, or really just any Illusion spells at all they had to go with the direct approach when trying to attack a Orc fortress that held 7 (I believe) kids that were being prepared to be sacrificed to the orcs god. Being a Pre-made module It did not take into account the abilities of my party, I really should have suggested getting a few scrolls but...I assumed Kutsurona had at least Invisibility.

Well they charged up the side (Thank god they didn't go up the main gate) into a broken area of the fort, well a massive battle happened where they fought a Ogre, a Org (a more evolved Orc basically) and around 15 or more Orcs with various levels in Barbarian, Warrior, Fighter, and a few normal orcs. Well they survived the battle with a few Zhents (a evil organization within the world of Forgotten Realms, Basically they are a evil merchant group that wants to take over a part of the world) At that point the battle ended the Zhents walked over to them and offered to go with them for a part of the treasure and a sum of money. The reason I did this was the party is drained in resources, and Kutsurona and Shinny (her name was Shini Neko just like my name online o.o) is most likely out of spells, and Lecorth and Ayzerath are low on hit points.

They are not even half way done and I don't see a good place for them to get some rest before their next battle, I sense a TPK (Total Party Kill) and if that is the case well...I will have to choice to either make them redo their characters in the game or...have them make new characters and start at first level running them through the Shackled City (most likely the better option). I will most likely run them through the Shackled City because it will be better for Shinny because this is her first time playing and well I got the campaign for Christmas and I have to admit I am impressed. It is over 300 pages long and will take them from first level all the way to 20th level. Which is very impressive and its very well made as well. I will enjoy running it I am sure hehe.

Beyond that Shinta, Neptunetay (Shinta's GF), one of Ayzerath's old friend and possibility Kutsurona might start up another game as well. I have no idea when and where this game will happen. If Kutsurona joins the game most likely, it will be one of design (which I will talk about in more detail later) and if he cannot then I will run them through the Shackled City as well. Past that this weekend will fairly busy I am going to New Years Eve party then I am going to work on a my Christmas gift for Countess Oster (I know that its past Christmas but oh well) which is a computer.

Anyways I am tired and I am most likely going to bed soon so I will end this post now. I hope everyone has a wonderful day :)

Hello everyone!

I highly doubt anyone still reads this Live Journal just because I haven't updated in like what? A year? Oh well I thought I might as well update it, A lot of things have been going on in my life so I have no idea where to begin...

In the past few months I have lost three friends, two to suicides and other one to...well I rather not say what happened to him. So to say the least its been sort of hard, but I rather not talk about that in too much detail. I am getting ready to go to college that is coming up in a few weeks, I should also be finishing my drive times as well at least I hope so. Hmmm...lets see what else is new in my life...

Well I can't think of much, My days have been very busy for the most part. I have been in my room working on various projects, trying to stay busy since I really haven't been able to do much else. My mother is still doing alright at least as I write this she is. And to be honest it has been hard these past few months but I know people have it worse than me so don't worry, I wont do anything stupid or dramatic. Anyways I hope everyone is doing well, and maybe I will post on here more *shrugs*

I remember a long time ago you had to have somebody give you a invite to join Live Journal, it seems I always know of things before they get really popular, I like Foamy, Weebl, Anime, and quite a few other things before they got really popular. Its sorta cool sometimes, but anyways I think that is all I will write for now. I hope everyone has a great day, and I hope to post soon!

Hello everyone! ^_^

Been a bit since I last posted well lets see if anything new has happened. Well I found out that I passed Goverment which came to me as a big shock. I was expecting to fail and I should have with the effort I put to that class. Oh well no biggy. Well the past few days have been busy and I haven't even had time for gaia or posting on here. However something cool Is that I got a kilt on gaia :3 hehe. I hopefully will have more time this weekend. I have been busy doing homework and getting ready for the end of the year.

I never really liked big large gatherings of people so im not really looking forward to much to graduation. Well we played D&D for the first time in forever on thursday so that was really cool and we are going to start to play our Frieday game this week. Which as I said before will be Eberron. I am writeing it myself and I am glad how it is turning out. I just relised how much time and energy I waste sometimes for D&D like for example most people didn't show up for D&D last thursday so we basicly just started a new. Which was ok except i basicly wasted my time writeing something for 5 or so hours for nothing. Oh well at least we played that was a refreshing time. ^^ We haven't played in so long.

I am also planning to do a comic for the Eberron game i'm not sure why or anything but well I might post more details about it here we shall see. I think thats about it for right now ^^

I hopefully will have more time to post soon.

Hello everyone...

Well today I feel really sick...this is the most sick I have felt in a long time...and its preventing me to getting back to sleep so I thought I would write in here before trying again. My chest feels really congested and my throat hurts and I just feel generally sicky.

Well this has been a really good weekend (other than the sickness)on saterday I really did get to go to the Faire this time ^_^. That was a lot of fun I might post some pictures of it sometime when I get some. Well we woke up at 7:00 am to get ready for It I was going in full costume today. I waited and looked at the clock it said it was almost 8! We were leaveing at 8. It turns out that Lecorth was asleep and said that everyone had a ride. I called so that little disaster was avoided. Well there was a acident on Centeral so It took us almost 3-4 hours to get there but it was worth it. As always the faire was wonderful, Lecorths mom person also brought with her a Lap Harp which I showed intrest in playing. And she let be borrow it for the day ^_^ which was really cool. Well we got to see Zilch (sp) he did a really wonderful show at the faire. His show involved takeing faire tails and what not and doing what he called "spoonerism". Which means to flip the first letters of the first and last words on a sentence. It was a lot of fun and I can see why he does it. When you do that with a lot of literary works it comes out very...well...when everyone is takeing a "falk in the worest" it changes the meaning of it quite a bit. Oh! before then I bought myself a sword to go with my costume! ^_^ I really like it however it looks like the hilt wasn't fully put into place I am going to see if my dad can fix it this next weekend.

Another cool thing that happened was I played the lap harp a bit and got quite a few comements about it. James mom also brought a insterment (which name escapes me right now) and played it too however james mom and her friend quickly escaped while we were doing things. We saw them once the entire time there which was for the best i'm sure. Me and Lecorth were even asked for pictures two times! It seems we have become picture worthy or something. He got a spiffy new hat and I think it really looks good with his outfit (I picked it out as well). I have also decided that I am going to end up with two costumes. I will show a picture of my ideas for them when I get a chance.

After the faire I was really tired and didn't do anything else that day...which was the same thing I did the next day as well. However I got more sick yesterday and today even worse. It really sucks becuase they seem to have really messed up how many days I have missed at school. Some classes have only 4 days I Have missed at one extream the other has 8. I can't really explain why this happened and I haven't skiped school or anything so...I am going to talk to my teachers tommarow. Also weather and sickness forbiding we are going to go next weekend as well. Hopefully that will be as fun as the last. Well that was my weekend basicly ^_^ I hope to get pictures soon.

Also I hope to feel better x_x;; anyways Till next time

Hewwo everyone! ^_^

Today has been a better day than most I am not sure why yet but It has been. Lets see...well today has been a relaitivly boreing day not much has happened. Zero hour was talking about the poems we read yesterday. I slept! *gasps* I went to bed at a fairly early hour (for me at least I went to bed around 12 am) so I was in a good mood for most of the day. Math we had a free day and in Europen History we talked more of the people of Europen during the 1930s-1940s. Today we focused on women for the most part.

Then goverment...I'm not sure if you can tell but I really dislike that class. Not becuase i'm anti-goverment or anything like that. But becuase of the teacher...Ms. Storz. She is a nice lady but I don't really like her as a teacher but shes fun to talk to. Which makes it worse I can't really rant too much on how horrible she is XP. Its just not a very organized class...she will sometimes not give us notes beucase "she dosen't feel like talking" and give us tests and quizes over stuff we haven't talked about. Well today we presented ^^ that went alright x_x people arn't very smart though.

We were nice we told the kids while the teacher was out that the answers to the Quizs that we are required to give to the students for each project (something else I don't like x_x) but one kid I know who it was missed half of the questions. Half of them! and we told them the answers u_u oh well...I guess its not a big deal. Lunch was fun becuase we had a double one ^^ so I was free for two hours. I had my normal lunch with my friends then I sat with a few of my old friends I haven't seen in a long time. Lecorth had gone to Cici's with his GF so I didn't see him till second lunch. It sucks it feels like im sorta drifting from him but oh well thats life sometimes. The rest of the day was Multimedia beucase me and Lecorth decided to work on our project for that class. Our teacher liked it so far ^^ I might post it up here its in flash. More details on that later. After school sucked there was a sort of miscomunation becuase Lecorth went up to a Local comic shop and he thought I didn't want to go. Oh well maybe next time....

Oh one last thing before I go I am god forbiding going to Scarborough Faire which is a local Ren fair tommarow. ^_^ anyways thats all for now! Oh before I get the title Is becuase during my second lunch we made little islands out of M&M's and then we took the wrapers and made little mouths out of them ^^. We had a papa duck and mama duck and a baby duck. ^_^ sorry we sorta get insane sometimes

Well ofcorse seening that I wanted to play D&D today we arn't. One of our players is watching his dad and as such isn't avalible for playing. It really sucks I am pissed off but I don't have anyone to rightfully blame for it x_x. Oh well...If it happens again I am going to seriously think about not DMing anymore.

I sent 4-5 hours writeing stuff for a game and not play it. Its frustrating and I honestly can't blame anybody for it this time. Well before that today was alright We had a sub in English and I thanked Mooders for makeing my LJ background ^^ we read some poem and did a worksheet. I was half asleep so I didn't really read too much into it. Something about a guy loveing this girl but couldn't tell her about it, then went to a fair thing to buy her something and relized how shallow he was.

Next period I basicly slept during I remember next to nothing...after that we talked about the People of Europe during 1939-1948. Then goverment...we talked about...well goverment XD. Lunch was alright nothing too exciteing happened there. Orchastra was alright as well, and tommarow we have a double lunch becuase the rest of the Orchastra is going on a trip to Califorina. P.E. Parnters was alright as well I showed Lecorth some stuff out of the new book I bought yesterday. Mutimedia was fun as always we are starting a new project soon.

After school we went up to Gameshack which is a local LAN Center and played games up there for a while beucase one of our D&D players was going to be late however as I said he had to go watch his dad becuase he is sick so we didn't play. I'm not mad at him or anything becuase it isn't anyones fault I almost wish it was so I could rant about it XP anyways thats been my day. I might update a bit more later if something happens.

Hello everyone ^_^ today hasn't been really exciteing all that much but I thought I would write a little about it. I bought the Sandstorm D&D book along with 2 packs of D&D minatures (A new set called Deathknell) so I am happy ^_^. Lets see...well I went to bed at 2 again last night x_x sad as that is I been trying to go to bed earlyer but I have failed thus far.

It sorta sucks we are presenting a project in Goverment normaly we present last thanks to a luck of the draw however we were being nice and beucase a member of another group that presents before us wont be there that day we swiched to the end of this week rather than next week. Oh well I guess its no biggy ^_^ rather be nice than be mean and present last anyways.

Well My first periods went well nothing too exciteing happened today I read about Eberron which is a Noir type D&D setting and now Lecorth is going to be running a game in Eberron rather than Forggoten Realms. Tommarow is (hopefully) our next game x_x we haven't played in I think in three weeks now. I wrote the stuff for the game and never played it. Hopefully we will play tommarow.

mooders was nice enough to get two more players for that game but they wont be comeing till later. Thank you ^_^! I also got info on more Scholarships for colloge. Heh it seems so far away even though we only have a six weeks left in school. I wonder what its going to be like if anything diffrent. Oh well we shall find out wont we?

Hopefully I will go to bed early tonight! ^_^ I want to be able to get at least 6 hours of sleep x_x that would be nice...

Anyways Till Next Time!

Well I have been forced to write a another jounral entry and as such here it is. Well lets see...nothing much has happened lately since the last entry :P. Well the Dark Sun game has pretty much died however we are currently playing a D&D game on thursdays now with Lecorth, and two other people (don't think they have a Live Journal).

The have been hired by one of the Secret Lords of Waterdeep to investagate the activitys of a new cult known as the Cult of The Mask. Those that know anything about Forgotten Realms may think this is just a Cult deacated to Mask the deity of theives and shadows and what not. However in truth it gets it name from the Leader of this cult non other than Lord Shuruppak. The old right hand man of Gilgeam the dead leader of the Unther Pantheon. They are up to something in the Anauroch Desert and its now the PC's jobs to find out whats going on.

This last weekend was fun ^^ I went with a few friends up to Main Event and played DDR and whatnot. I hurt my feet playing however thanks to the shoes I was wearing >_< I was wearing a Renaissance Costume for "Prom". It has quotes beucase it invoved going to Main Event, then to Krispy Kream then to Walmart and to the After Hours party. It was lots of fun and I even got a Scholarship for 250 dollors thanks to Mooders for makeing me stay till the very end.

When the game starts on Thursday I will give more info on it ^_^ maybe start a jounral for the game. The adventure was writen for me and is called The Fall of Unther. Also another thought is that I want to write a set of novels or maybe short storys set in Mulhorand since none have yet been writen its (hopefully) fair game. If not well eh thats life...^_^ well till next time.

    <lj:music>The Beatles - Come Together</lj:music>

Hello everyone ^_^
Well this is my first entry in my new LJ thanks to mooders. well Let me update you on what has happened in the past few days. I was selected to go to the TCEA Convention in Austin, its a convention for Technology for students and schools. Well I went there for what was called the STARS academy, well at first Lecorth was going to go with me on this trip however he failed one of his classes x_x. So I was left to go with a stranger, which in the end wasn't too bad. Well I woke up around 9 or so on the day I was going on the trip, I got Muffins! Lecorth's mom gave me a ride to the airport, where I found my teacher and Kyle the kid I ended up hoteling with. He is pretty cool, not really the type of person I would normally hang out with but *shrugs* I didn't have much of a choice. Well when we got there we went to the hotel which was wonderful. Best part is that everything is free! ^_^ I even got internet up there which ended up only leting me log onto Yahoo for some reason, oh well. The second day was my first work day in the convention, I woke up around 7 and got up there to start working at 8 which was a short walk from my hotel to the convention center, infact I walked everywhere that weekend it was cool and werid at the same time. Well I finaly found out what I was doing at the convention, I was a memeber of a group of about 20 other students aroudn the state of Texas, our job was to make a video showing the changes that technolgy has undergone in the past 25 years or so by inverviewing people. To make this we were given 18 mac, 3 camcorders, 4 still cameras and two days to make it. We wern't told how we were going to do it just that it had to be done. Well I personaly enjoyed it, I worked on music in a program called Garage-band, I made a Techno Piano peice with it ^_^ which was cool. however on the first day I got sick x_x but I kept working, I then worked on more Music, Also some video editing, and some of the interveiws as well. We ate very well throughout the entire weekend. First night was a local place called the Bitter End. The second night was a nice Pizza place, and last night was a TGI Fridays. The only bad thing that happened is that a fire at my...I guess best way to say it is Pseudo-GF (we arn't going out really but we act like it. >.> Its weird I know) had a fire at her school! I was so worried >_<. But everything turned out to be ok. well I got back on Friday and unpacked and caught up with everyone. Sat I went to Dallas Comic Con and bought some D&D Miniatures and a really cool Foam sword for LARPing. It looks very nice and I already love it ^_^. Today I am going to be DMing a D&D game called Legacy of the Drow, the first chapter of it is called Kindling which takes place in a large city that has had a string of strange murders lately. It leads into a larger game, which I wont go into detail yet but I will keep you updated on events in this game when they happen!
